Before your baby is born
Prenatal visit: Meet with a pediatric provider
During a one-on-one meeting with a pediatric provider – either in person or by phone – you will discuss what to expect when you bring your new baby home, the schedule for routine health care visits and immunizations, and what to watch for when your child is ill. There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions.
To set up a prenatal visit, call your preferred Partners in Pediatrics clinic. There is no charge for this visit. Parents are welcome to come whether they are anticipating the birth of a new baby or expanding their family through adoption.
Hospital prenatal classes
If you are interested in enrolling in a prenatal course at the hospital where you plan to deliver your baby, please contact the hospital directly or learn more at The Mother Baby Center and Maple Grove Hospital.
After your baby is born
Visiting your newborn in the hospital
Our newborn support starts even before you bring your baby to a clinic visit. If you deliver your baby at Maple Grove Hospital and will be receiving care at a Partners in Pediatrics clinic, our pediatricians will visit you and your newborn in the hospital. They will examine your baby and make sure your baby is healthy. They will talk with you and answer any questions you may have. If you deliver your baby at another hospital, we will coordinate with you to receive the medical records of your newborn.
Our pediatricians will also see you on the day you leave the hospital, if you deliver your baby at the Maple Grove Hospital. They will help you arrange follow-up visits at your Partners in Pediatrics clinic and advise you as you start this new journey.
